DJ Harvey Does It 'All Night Rong' at Santos Party House
Who wouldn't want to go and hear the man who once said, "you can't understand my music until you've had group sex on Ecstasy?" Especially if the music-maker in question is DJ Harvey, the U.K.-bred beat baron who helped bring U.S. house sounds to Old Blighty back in the day and has been a groove-spinning citizen of the world ever since. Well, if there's anyone out there who could use a party at this point in time, it's New Yorkers, many of whom are only just beginning to get their bontemps roulez vibe back again after being bruised and battered in so many ways by Sandy. Fortunately, DJ Harvey is here to help.
This Friday, the hirsute house hero will be throwing down at Santos Party House. But he's not merely one on a long list of DJs who'll be shuffling in and out from behind the decks — Harvey will be playing first, last, and in between, rocking the House all night long, or, to invoke the official name of the party, All Night Rong. But if you aren't able to make it out on the 16th, the good news is that this will be the inaugural event in an ongoing Friday night residency at the club, so fear not — New Yorker's haven't heard the last of Harvey!
