In advance of her Born To Fly EP out today via UK label This Is Music Ltd. (Little Boots, Charli XCX), we're pleased to give you a first listen to Big Apple songstress Beca's debut mixtape. Having demonstrated her skill to pen atmospheric pop on her debut single "Let's Run Wild" issued earlier in the year, Feel finds Beca playing music selector, mixing up a diverse session featuring a pastiche of musical styles ranging from the entire spectrum of rock (David Bowie and Deftones) to all sorts of electronic meanderings (Sam Sparro and Telefon Tel Aviv).
"This is my first mixtape and a lot of time and effort was put into creating it — for me it was worth it," Beca tells us. "It's a eclectic collection of songs that have impacted me, and includes remixes of my tracks 'Let's Run Wild' and 'Born To Fly.' It opens with a classical piece I often listened to growing up and unfolds into a journey of varying moods both light and dark."
