Event Recap: 1800 Tequila & SPIN present Essential Artists 2012 [Gallery]
Last night a throng of indie rocker types descended upon a loft space on lower Broadway to celebrate 1800 Tequila and SPIN's fourth Essential Artists Limited-Edition Series featuring artwork by Kai & Sunny (London), Tara McPherson (New York), Ilovedust (London), Nathan Fox (New York), Stephen Bliss (New York) and Sandro “Misk1” Tchikovani (San Francisco). Tequila — served straight and in well crafted cocktails — flowed for hours (in a responsible way, of course) and guests were treated to an outrageously good selection of music.
As fast as you can say margarita, July/August cover artist Wavves gave an, um, spirited performance (see pictures of the band's cake fight in the gallery below), and DJ sets by J2K of Flosstradamus and Nick Catchdubs kept everyone's heads nodding for the entire fête.
