Event Recap: Manhattan Cocktail Classic Gala [Photos]
If you call yourself a cocktail enthusiast, then you were at Manhattan Cocktail Classic's sold-out opening gala at the New York Public Library on Friday night. Attendees were dressed to the nines in formal wear (ball gowns for women and tuxedos for men were a common sight) and star mixologists such as Charlotte Voisey, Allen Katz and Jacques Bezuidenhout strutted their concoctions over four floors of the iconic Midtown building.
With so much to see, taste and experience on one night, MCC organizers gave all 3500 attendees bracelets which, with a tap of the wrist, tracked their drinks, uploaded photos and managed Facebook check-ins, with all users receiving a customized e-mail today containing detailed recipes for each drink they sampled. If only every night on the town were as organized.
Perrier was the official water of MCC, and we enjoyed meeting mixologists and cocktail aficionados throughout the course of the night (shout-out to the woman from Tequila Ocho for presenting us with a lovely bottle!). Below are some photos from the gala. Head over to our Facebook page to see more pictures from this amazing party.
