Fools Gold Is Having A Holiday Bash
The Fools Gold label is finishing up its fourth year with a big bang, in the form of a heavy-duty holiday party. Fools Gold went all out in 2011, opening up their own Brooklyn retail store, entering into a number of high-profile product partnerships, and pushing ahead with a cutting-edge roster of artists including Duck Sauce and Danny Brown. So they've got plenty of reason to celebrate in grand style at the onset of this year's holiday season, and that's exactly what's on the agenda for next week's blowout.
On Tuesday, December 20, Dream Downtown (The Gallery) will host the Fools Gold holiday party, and anyone who has attended FG's previous holiday bashes knows that it's bound to be the kind of event where anything can happen. After all, everybody from Drake to DJ Premier has turned up at the parties in the past, so it's anybody's guess who's likely to stroll through the door unexpectedly on the date in question. What we can say for sure, though, is that those who do attend will be treated to top-shelf DJ sets from OG Ron C, The Brothers Macklovitch, Nick Catchdubs, and hip-hop hero Just Blaze.
