Light Up Your Labor Day With Fools Gold's 'Day Off'

foolsgolddayoff

It's no secret that Brooklyn's Fool's Gold label has offered up its share of musical treasures over the last five years, making clubs across the globe move to the sounds of artists like Kid Sister, Danny Brown, and Duck Sauce. But A-Trak and Nick Catchdubs' cottage industry has also become known for its ability to throw a roof-raising party, and the Fool's Gold's Day Off throwdown on Labor Day should live up to that lofty reputation.

This September 3 will mark the third time that Fool's Gold has gotten down for a Day Off in New York, and like its predecessors, Day Off 2012 is a free event that will feature music by a swarm of cutting-edge artists. Not only will Fool's Gold phenoms like Flosstradamus and the aforementioned Danny Brown be performing, Nick Catchdubs himself will be working the crowd into a frenzy, as will Flatbush Zombies, Just Blaze, French Montana, and many more. The whole thing happens in the backyard of Soho's City Winery from 2-8 pm, and all the eats and beverages are on the house. Got kids? Bring the little buggers along, it's an all-ages event and you can still get them back home by bedtime. And if you're a left coaster looking for some Day Off action of your own, take heart, because we've got just one thing to say to you: Day Off L.A., Columbus Day!
