My 5 Favorite Things: Erin Fetherston
Erin Fetherston started her namesake label with a couture collection before going ready-to-wear in 2005. Since then, the platinum blonde New Yorker has gained a cult following for her romantic but modern party dresses. Her feminine looks are not only popular with downtown types, but also with celebs like Kirsten Dunst and Zooey Deschanel. Fetherston took some time off from preparing for her upcoming show at Milk Studios during New York Fashion Week to let us know her five favorite things.
1. Warren Tricomi hair products. Maintaining my hairstyle is all about using products that help me achieve precision. Edward Tricomi, who cuts my hair, has an amazing line of styling products which make maintaining my bob very easy. I especially like their blow-dry serum!
2. Sencha green tea. I drink several quarts a day! It gives me energy without the caffeine crash I get from coffee. My favorite brand is Scent of a Mountain from Harney & Sons.
3. Facials at Christine Chin. She created her own micro-dermabrasion machine which is great for fair skin like mine because it is extra gentle. It really leaves skin glowing.
4. Tiny's. This is my favorite restaurant in NYC. It's only a few blocks away from my office and I love going to have dinner there after a long day at work. They have a really cozy back room with a fireplace and serve comfort food that's made from clean, simple ingredients. The cocktails are delicious too!
5. ABC Home and Carpet. This is my favorite store in NYC. I always go there to get inspiration. Their visual display is so artfully done. I always stock up on home accessories like candle holders and crystals.
