My 5 Favorite Things: Michaelangelo L'Acqua
Michaelangelo L'Acqua, who is the Global Music Director for The W Hotel Group, has made good taste in music his business. The music lifestyle curator has create the musical backdrop for international fashion shows for high fashion brands like Gucci and Yves Saint Laurent. Here the well-traveled and well-dressed L'Acqua shares some of his favorite things with us.
1. Travel Destination: Tokyo. I am utterly fascinated by the city's geography and how it features classic Japanese tradition and modern Western culture. I'm also a foodie, so I eat my way through Tokyo. It's a magical place and I feel like a character in Blade Runner the whole time I was there.
2. Designer: Isaia. My style has evolved over the many years I've spent in fashion and right now I'm having a suit fetish. My favorite designer who makes the most beautiful Italian suits is Isaia.
3. Hotel(s): I've spent the last three and a half years living in one of the 45 W Hotels around the globe. My favorites are Barcelona, Paris, Bali, Hong Kong, Mexico, Istanbul and Miami.
4. Bar: Blind Barber in Alphabet City. One of my best friend owns the bar and it's an excuse for us to meet, catch up on life and grab a shave and a hair cut at the same time. The DJs are always killer.
5. Store: I really like what Robert James is doing on the LES in NYC, as well as Yaohm in La Marée Paris
