Rum Reigns Supreme at Kingston Hall
Amid transporting us to Scotland at Shoolbred's bar and serving Southern hospitality at NOLA-themed spot Ninth Ward, business partners Nic Ratner and Robert Morgan somehow found time bring another destination to NYC. Opening last week in the East Village, their new venture, Kingston Hall, pays homage to 1960's Jamaica with a British colonial vibe and rum-heavy cocktail menu. Noteworthy offerings include their signature Drunken Coconut (spiced rum, coconut water and pineapple juice) and classic island bites like beef patties and a jerk chicken wings. You may find yourself on the receiving end of a Sucker Punch here, but that's a good thing. Such is the title of Kingston Hall's riff on a rum punch, complete with enough liquor to bring your guard all the way down. [via Grubstreet]
