The Luxury Collection Presents Visually Captivating Short Film
The Luxury Collection Hotels & Resorts provide unique alternatives to the usual vacation spots, having accommodations in less thought of, but nevertheless, stunning locations all over the globe. To further prove just how unique their brand of luxurious getaways are, the resort company released the short film, Here, which follows the travels of a woman played by Agyness Deyn, hitting locations in Vermont, Scottsdale, and Waikiki.
This film isn't a simple commercial though. Produced by Academy Award winner Tilda Swinton and Waris Ahluwalia, it's also directed by Luca Guadagnino who had previously worked with Ahluwalia on the Golden Globe nominated film, I Am Love. Guadagino considers the film to be an expression of the "pleasures offered when one trusts that the journey is the destination," which can clearly been seen in the film's teaser. Both mysterious and exotic looking, the film has a Hitchcock-ian vibe to its grandeur, with Deyn looking like a young Kim Novak in Vertigo, her look stylized by Heidi Bivens. Here also features music by Jason Schwartzman, who moonlights under the moniker Coconut Records when he's not acting in indie comedies. The tinkering piano heard in the teaser also gives one a feeling of wonderment and intrigue, which is the main focus of the Luxury Collection's estates.
