Upcoming Event: Cheryl — On the Waterfront @ River to River Festival
Brooklyn-based artist collective Cheryl bridge the worlds of experimental art and ruthless dance parties. At the group's upcoming appearance at the River to River Festival, they will be presenting On the Waterfront, their first ever outdoor dance party.
For the event, the collective encourages all guests to adorn "Cheryl-style attire" — in other words, anything inspired by "the Catholic clergy, blonde ladies, Irish stepdancers, giant cats, doilies, Italian dockworkers or the final sequence from the film Centerstage." As for what will be animating this assortment of costumed groove-seekers, both Cheryl resident DJ Nick and Tiki Disco frequenter DJ Lloydski will be spinning a concoction of great dance music for everyone looking to get down on the dock.
