The Vault at Pfaff's

vault at pfaff's

A great part about drinking in New York City is the many opportunities to do so in bars and restaurants that nod to the city's history. The modern incarnation of the mind of food and wine connoisseur Charles Pfaff, The Vault at Pfaff's, picks up the tradition of the man's 1855 beer cellar where many famous city dwellers used to frequent. Everything from their custom-made furniture, its white-oak bar and brick archways carry with it a piece of old New York which greatly enhances the experience of having some fine cocktails. The original spot was a hot bed for meetings of the some of Manhattan's greatest minds, many of which spurned great new directions for the city. Today's Vault looks to re-capture the wondrous atmosphere of the original bohemia hub.
