O letreiro em Neon vermelho na entrada já mostra um pouco do que esperar por trás das portas do Suite Savalas. O bar fica em uma casa antiga de 1929 no bairro da Consolação, mas o ambiente remete a outra época: os anos 70.
The red neon sign at the entrance already shows you what to expect behind the Suite Savala’s doors. The bar is located on an old house from 1929 at a neighborhood called Consolação, but the ambience refers to another time: 70s.
Quem se deixar levar pelo clima retrô vai se sentir dentro de um filme de Tarantino, entrando em um hotel-bar com ar de decadência, mas mesmo assim charmoso. As paredes são cobertas de posterês de pornochanchada, iluminação vermelha e papel de parede vintage, para parecer com um cabaret “inferninho” da época. O estilo do bar atrai um público mais descolado, que vai desde de artistas de teatro a publicitários e estilistas.
Who lets themselves be taken by the retro mood will feel like they were in a Tarantino movie, going in-to a hotel-bar with a touch of decadence, but still not loosing its charm. The walls are covered with posters of brazilian porno movies from the 70’s, and have a red dim lighting and a vintage wallpaper making it look like a cabaret from that period. The bar’s style attracts a more hip audience, ranging from theater artists to advertising professionals and designers.
Além da decoração, a carta de coquetéis também é um atrativo e tanto! Os drinks ajudam a entrar no clima do ambiente, como o Mojito incrementado com blueberry ou a Margarita com purê de manga e um toque picante. Os petiscos não ficam para trás. A sugestão é para provar os bolinhos cremosos de abóbora e gorgonzola, ou as croquetas de presunto cru com gruyère.
Besides décor, the cocktail menu is also a big attraction! The drinks help getting in the mood of the place, with the Mojito complemented with blueberry or the Margarita with mango puree with a spicy touch. The snacks are not far behind. The suggestion is to try the creamy pumpkin and gorgonzola rolls, or the parma ham croquettes with gruyere.
Como se não bastasse o ambiente todo alternativo, os coquetéis deliciosos e o cardápio tentador, as músicas também são excelentes! A trilha sonora junta achados do rock, funk, soul e new wave. David Bowie e Rolling Stones estão sempre na playlist. De quartas e quintas rolam apresentações de bandas, na quarta um som mais rock e na quinta-feira tem Jazz’n’Roll.
As if the alternative mood wasn’t enough, the delicious cocktails and the tempting menu, the music is excellent as well! There is live music playing on Wednesdays and Thursdays, with the difference that the sound is more rock on Wednesdays and more Jazz’n’Roll on Thursdays.

Around the Suíte Savalas you will find an enormous diversities of bars, cool restaurants that were recently opened. That area received the nickname Consoleta, in reference to the Recoleta neighborhood in Buenos Aires which is filled with bars and also close to the cemitery.
