The specialized necktie brand GIRAFFE is aiming to become “the world’s cutest necktie maker”.
GIRAFFE neckties are available in a host of eye-catching colors and patterns and in a choice of materials and silhouettes classified into four stages—34℃, 36℃, 38℃ and 40℃—according to body temperature. These ties were developed based on a concept not of being tied around the neck but of tightly squeezing the throat so that wearer can gaze into the far distance from a high standpoint in a manner reminiscent of a giraffe.

そのユニークな展開をしているgiraffeが東京・青山にあるセレクトショップ「valveat 81(ヴァルヴィートエイティーワン)」に、2012年2月16日（火曜日）までの期間限定でポップアップストアをオープンしています。
ポップアップストアでは最新のコレクションから過去のアーカイブまで、ネクタイ、蝶タイを中心に幅広いラインナップを取り揃えていて、ありそうでなかった配色や形など、見るだけでも楽しくなるようなタイが盛りだくさん。シーズンごとにテーマを考えて作られるタイ生地は京都で織られたgiraffeだけのオリジナルなので、人とはちょっと差をつけたいという人にはぴったりですね。
GIRAFFE, which is continuing to expand its unique product range, has opened a pop-up store for limited period until Thursday, February 16, 2012 at the select shop valveat 81 in Tokyo’s Minami-Aoyama area.
Visitors to the pop-up store will find a huge lineup of items centered on neckties and bow ties and ranging from products from the past archives to the latest collection, including ties in color combinations and shapes that you would never have imagined existed. The fabrics are originally woven in Kyoto for GIRAFFE and produced according to the decided themes for each season, making these ties ideal for people who want to differentiate themselves a little from the crowd.
