5 Places to Hit for a Perfect Toronto Night
Summer weather is finally here, which means that it's time to start taking advantage of all the great things this city has to offer. Every year offers something new for the adventurous and elegant; this year is certainly no exception. Here are some suggestions for a few memorable outings in Toronto this summer.
The UEFA Euro is less than a month away, which means that you had better get a good spot on an outdoor terrace facing a TV if you plan to take in all the football action (and to the ladies, the fabulous players). Head to the 521 on Danforth, which has screens set up on the patio. To continue in the same vein, you could also check in at SPiN Galactic, where you can enjoy a cocktail in a sporty yet trendy environment.
Be sure to make your way over to the Hyatt rooftop patio where you can have Joe Gomes mix you up one of his specialties. The veteran barman is quite a show himself. He prepares cocktails with amazing skills that he's developed and refined for the past 50 years (he recently won a Lifetime Achievement Award). The view at the Hyatt is incredible and on a warm summer evening, the atmosphere is simply perfect.
Another great stop is the Thompson Hotel, on the 18th floor terrace to be precise. The exquisite view of the city, welcoming staff and fantastic cocktails will definitely be one for the memory bank.
Finally, make sure you attend an event at the Andrew Richards Designs studio, a restored century showroom located in downtown Toronto. Not only is the space incredible, but the parties are legendary. Mingle with VIPs on the two-floor locale and rooftop patio, dancing, sipping cocktails, and simply enjoying summer in the city.
