New Cocktail: The Perrier Tarocco
If you happened to be at Bloke & 4th for the Perrier VIP room, chances are you weren’t able to resist the appealing cocktails available. The stunning hue of blood orange juice, served in a sugar-rimmed champagne glass and topped with a sprig of rosemary… It’s almost like you could tell by just looking at it that you were going to drink one of the most distinguished cocktails you’ve ever had. Though it was first called the No.7 to go with the establishment’s menu concept, we decided to rename this beauty after an Italian variety of the blood orange: the Tarocco.
In addition to being a very elegant garnish, rosemary brings a great balance to any sweet or tart fruit, and elevates even the most delicate aromas. We recommend keeping some fresh sprigs around at all times to be ready to experiment whenever you feel like it. For now, try this recipe:
Put vodka, rosemary syrup, lemon juice and blood orange juice in a martini shaker filled with ice. Shake well and pour in a champagne glass rimmed in sugar. Garnish with a fresh sprig of rosemary and enjoy!
