The Perrier Rum Punch: Something Sunny In Your Glass
Need something exotic to take your mind off this freezing cold temperature? Our in-house mixologist came up with a Perrier twist on a classic that is already close to being pure sun in a glass: the Rum Punch. If you’ve ever been to the Caribbean, you might be familiar with the original rum-and-citrus-based recipe. In our version, the Perrier helps develop the subtle nutty flavours that the orgeat syrup carries, on top of adding some flare to the citrus and pineapple juices.
The process:
Put rum, orgeat syrup, lemon juice and pineapple juice in a shaker filled with ice then shake well. Strain into a highball glass and top with Perrier. Garnish with pineapple or citrus slices.
Following the real “punch” tradition, multiplying the Perrier Rum Punch recipe would be a great idea. Instead of using a shaker, place the punch bowl inside a larger container filled with ice to keep the punch ice-cold. Add to that an inspiring soundtrack and your favourite guests all dressed up for the occasion and voilà! You’ve got yourself a Perrier Rum Punch party! We even found you a song so you can start working on that playlist of yours: Where Yuh From by Kes The Band (Poirier Remix – Work that riddim). Enjoy!
