Featuring reworks by Zombi, Cylob and Tim Hecker this is a sonic journey into the dark worlds created by one of Scotland’s most interesting and enduring bands.

Gig: Stunning vocalist Terry Callier passed away in October leaving a wealth of amazing music as his legacy and this Wednesday sees a memorial concert in his honour at the Islington Assembly Hall. Guests paying their respects via vocal contributions include Beth Orton, 4 Hero’s Marc Mac plus Callier’s fantastic band for an evening paying tribute to a uniquely soulful voice.

Festival: Not technically a festival, Gingerline is an experimental eating event that goes on till January and is based around the East London line (London Overground), hence the name. Once booked in you will be informed of the venue with one hours’ notice but everything else will remain secret including the menu, so get booking for evenings of gastronomic good times with a difference.

Club: This Friday XOYO plays host to hot Glaswegian DJ and producer Rustie who will be spinning his much lauded neon rave tunes at the EC2A club. Joining him are excellent Australian outfit Dorian Concept as well as sets from Shortee Blitz, Tayo and S-Type who happens to be on Lucky Me records. So get down to Cowper Street for a night of beat fuelled lunacy.
